iPad - AppLock - What is it?

We also provide a mode that we call “AppLock” (previously called “School Mode”) which will hide any apps not on our approved list (https://help.wallaceict.net/doku.php/public/applock) while it is active.

There are 3 variations of AppLock:

AppLock Permanent This mode hides apps that are not on our approved list at all times.

AppLock 5-day This mode hides apps that are not on our approved list from Monday 8am - Friday 3pm. The mode is not active during school holidays at Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Summer and half-term breaks.

AppLock Exams This mode hides apps that are not on our approved list during and two weeks prior to Examination periods.

AppLock variations can be enabled and disabled if you change your mind at a later date. If you find an app that you believe is of educational value but is not currently allowed, please let us know at [email protected] and we will review and add the app to the allowed list as appropriate.
